Who doesn't love a plate of flavourful Briyani?

Briyani
, an evergreen classic, really needs no introduction. It's aromatic, it's heavenly and one of the most loved delicacies not just in Singapore and India but across the globe. 

Common recipes like Swasthi's requires 35 minutes to whip up a delicious meal of Biryani, which is not too bad actually!

However, with Yamie's innovation, where you do not need to wash the rice. The grains have already been pre-washed, so that you can get straight to cooking!

Singapore Briyani Rice


Description

Serves 2
Aromatic Basmati Rice in rich, flavourful spices with raisins and cashew

500g Sliced Beef (or Mutton)

40g Indian Curry Paste

1 tsp Sugar

150g (1 packet) YAMIE Pre-mix Nasi Briyani

160ml Water mixed with 100ml Coconut Milk

OTHERS

12 Cherry Tomato

1 sachet Raisins (found in packet of Pre-mix Rice)

1 sachet Cashew Nuts (found in packet of Pre-mix Rice)

Mint Leaves (for garnishing)

Yamie Instant Biryani Rice


Method

  1. Marinate the meat with the paste and sugar under Part A.
  2. Pour Part B in a rice cooker and mix well.
  3. Add Part A and Cherry Tomato into Part B. Turn on the switch and cook.
  4. When the switch turns to “Warm” button, keep warm for another 15 minutes. Turn off the switch.
  5. Mix in the Raisins. Garnish with Cashew Nuts and Mint Leaves. Serve and Enjoy. :)


3 Easy Ways To Cook (DO NOT WASH THE RICE)

  • Rice Cooker (0.6 to 1.1 litre capacity)

    1.Add the premix Rice with approximately 250-260ml water in a rice cooker, mix and set to cook.

    2.After cooking, keep warm for 10-15 minutes.

    3.Add the Raisins and Cashews, stir well and serve.

  • Stove Top

    1.Add the Premix Rice with approximately 330ml water in a cooking pot.

    2.Cover and cook for 15 minutes over medium heat and switch to low heat for another 5 minutes or until rice is tender.

    3.Add the Raisins and Cashews, stir well and serve.

  • Microwave

    1.Add the Premix Rice with approximately 290-310ml water in a microwavable dish.

    2.Cover and cook in a microwave on medium high for 18 minutes. Keep warm for 5 minutes.

    3.Add the Raisins and Cashews, stir well and serve.

    So Simple!

    There we have it! An aromatic Briyani rice meal for 2, almost as easy as whipping up your instant noodles with the awesome taste!
